This course will present fundamentals and results from several on-going research projects that have studied the technical and economic impacts of new developments in distribution grids with regulatory and policy recommendations for efficient integration of smart grid technologies.
Economic and regulatory issues related to massive integration of distributed generation, demand response programs, electric vehicles, micro grids, and the design of incentives for improving the quality of service in distribution networks will be presented.
