The aim of this project is to design and implement voltage control strategies in generation plants affected by regulation Royal Decree 436, generators connected to distribution networks, and by System Operation regulation P.O.7.4, generators connected to the transmission grid. The contents of the project are the following:
1) Basic engineering design to introduce modifications in co-generation plants needed for local and remote operation according to RD/436.
2) Basic engineering design to introduce modifications in generation plants needed for local and remote operation according to P.O.7.4
3) Technical support in the field of regulatory models to provide the voltage control ancillary service.

Research topics:
• *Steady-state: load flows, analysis of power system constraints, optimal load flows, voltage control ancilliary service,short-circuits, protections in transmission and ditribution networks
