Funding entity Endesa

SGS is an information system for the analysis and monitoring of real economic and energetic outcomes of the spanish electrical utility Endesa. It has been developed by ITT using SGP. another information system devolpped by IIT, based on a client-server architecture. The main tools SGP offers are a data metamodel that allows the users to define their own data models, where variables are given over several components or dimensions (allowing flexible and dynamic adaptation of the data models), a set of algorithms to automatically compute new variable values using the structural information given in the model hierarchies, and a set of client applications to load information, to compute and analyse data, and to extract and prepare final reports. The main object of this collaboration is to put in operation the software tools recently developed, the development of redundant mechanism to extract information and generate reports, and the revision and improvement of the data metamodel by means of the inclusion of multiple
hierarchies.
