This work consits of the development of the user defined model of the prime mover of the unit 4 of Combined Cycle Thermal Power Plant (CCTPP) Monterrey (Mexico). The unit 4 of the CCTPP is a single shaft group driven by a gas turbine and a steam turbine. The model of the prime mover includes the governor, gas turbine and steam turbine models. The model is validated by checking its response to a step at the power setpoint of the governor under islanded and system conditions and to a short circuit in the connecting line to an infinite bus.
