The project consists of providing technical and regulatory support to the Italian Market Operator in different activities during the process of implementation of the wholesale electricity market in Italy. The tasks that are contemplated in the project include the assessment regarding the proposals and new developments in the secondary legislation for the competitive electricity market, diverse design aspects of the short-term and long-term energy markets, mechanisms to enhance the security of supply and the implementation of technical operation procedures and software tools for bid matching in the different energy markets.
