Funding entity ERSP- Ente Regulador de los Servicios Públicos de Panamá
The Market Surveillance Committee in Panama is formed by three independent experst in electricity regulation. This committee has the following functions:
- Monitoring of market competitiveness and efficiency
- Surveillance of potential market participant anti-competitive behaviours
- Assistance to analyze potential market conficts associated with regulatory changes
- Propose modifications to the regulatory rules to improve the market performance
During the 2003 second semester, the Committee will make three stays in Panama for one week each. At the end of each mission, each Committee member has to submit a confidential report to the Regulator (Ente Regulador de los Servicios Públicos de Panama).
