Feasibility studies of the electricity interconnection among Central-American countries (SIEPAC)
November 1991 - July 1996
Funding entity Grupo Endesa
Several feasibility studies of the electricity interconnection project among Central-American countries (SIEPAC) were performed. Scenarios for coordinated planning and operation of national systems were simulated. Cost and benefits of the different alternatives for the interconnection were assessed.
- *Steady-state: load flows, analysis of power system constraints, optimal load flows, voltage control ancilliary service,short-circuits, protections in transmission and ditribution networks
- Short and Medium term hydro and hydrothermal scheduling
- *Long-term strategic analysis
