In the liberalized environment, electricity power reliability studies are extremely valuable for incumbent and new-entrant electricity utilities, as well as for regulators and consumers. On the other hand, electricity power reliability studies must be carried out taking into account natural gas delivery reliability. Reliability models for the electricity and gas industries are very different due to the distinct technical features of both sectors. The project aims to develop models covering the joint operation of electrical and gas systems.
