This project reviews the foundations and trends of electricity regulation in order to analyze the key issues for the future of the Spanish Electricity Sector. Among other topics, the project will study the estimated effect of generalized bilateral contracts on the functioning of the Spanish Electricity Market with a view to full liberalization in 2003. It will also examine the potential interactions of the emissions market and the green certificate market with the wholesale electricity market and it will also analyze the proposed procedures of remuneration of the distribution activity.
