This project is framed into the on-going cooperation line followed by Endesa and IIT in the framework of medium-term operation and planning in the context of the Iberian electricity market. The collaboration is focused, in the first place, on finalizing some developments already initiated, such as the consolidation of the interaction with the OMEGA tool at a deterministic level. On the other hand, there are some significant developments, especially within the context of European forecasts, such as the generalized use of wind and solar production scenario generators, and the increase of the number of variables subject to uncertainty in the European market. The collaboration also addresses the improvement of hourly and daily price forecasting at a probabilistic level, using a hybrid fundamental-econometric scheme.
