Biomass is key to achieve the decarbonization of the energy sector and improve the security of supply by means of autonomous energy sources. This project will quantify the supply curve (price and quantity) for different types of biomass and contrast it with its possible utilization in industrial processes. First, a review of the potential for Spain and the costs for each biomass type needs to be done. Then, a set of industrial processes has to be analyzed with regard to the additional investments required for utilizing the different types of biomass available.
