New resources connected to the electricity distribution networks, such as electric vehicles, heat pumps or technologies that increase flexibility of demand, could participate in electricity markets, providing services to the electricity system, including flexibility to the distribution network to delay or avoid investments in network assets. The research assistant will work on the regulatory proposals and assessment of different remuneration schemes for DSOs to use flexibility from users while maximizing the value that distributed energy resources provide to the electricity system. The work will be developed on European and national projects in close collaboration with Spanish and European electricity companies.
We are looking for a brilliant and motivated post-doc to carry out research and co-supervise PhD students. We offer a full-time contract of initially 36 months duration and an initial yearly gross salary of € 33012 in a stimulating and warm environment.
Ph.D. (electrical, electronic or industrial). Having deep knowledge of the electrical sector, optimization and programming (GAMS, Python, Matlab or similar languages). English and Spanish level C1.
